デトックスの歴史

デトックスという言葉や概念が一般に広まったのは
つい最近のことですが、デトックス自体は古くから行われてきました。

というのもこのデトックスというのは人間本来の機能の一つ
だからです。最大のデトックスは排便ですね。

仏教では断食によってデトックスするということが修行の一部として
行われているといいます。古代エジプトではハーブを使った
アロマテラピーが行われてきました。これもデトックスの一種です。

また紀元前からあるインド古来の医学であるアーユルヴェーダも
デトックスの一種と言っていいでしょう。いずれの手法においても、
体内から毒素を出すことによって人間本来の機能を取り戻すということが
重視されているということができるでしょう。


腸内洗浄のような今の形のデトックスというものが始まったのは
1970年代のアメリカだと言われています。もともとは戦争で
使用された化学兵器によって汚染された体を綺麗にするための
方法として考案されたといいます。

しかし、この手法が一般の人間にとっても有効だということがわかり、
広まったわけです。ということは逆を言えば、現代社会は化学兵器で
汚染されているくらいの汚染度だということです。化学兵器には
科学で対抗というのもわかりますが、まずは規則正しい生活、
適度な運動というのが基本になってきますね。
